Making Smart Living Visible: A Brand Identity for Neuen
Neuen is a smart-home integration brand. Howdy Creative built a complete identity, from the logo and identity system through social and marketing applications, so its positioning, "Smart living, all in one," reads consistently across every touchpoint.

Challenge
The smart-home market spans a wide product range, from door locks and curtains to lighting and gateways from different brands, all needing to be tied together in one message. Neuen had to communicate both the technical precision of "smart engineering" and the warmth of "a better life" at once, but without a complete identity system, it struggled to stay visually consistent across catalogs, social media, and cross-industry partnerships.
Goal
Build a complete brand identity system: design a core logo and a bilingual typeface pairing, set color and layout standards, and extend the system into social media, merchandise, and marketing catalogs, so Neuen stays clearly recognizable across every application.

Approach
- Built the logo around the swirling lines of the letter N, symbolizing pipes and signal flow, echoing smart home's core concept of "connection."
- Developed a complete VI guidelines manual covering logo lockups, color systems, and layout rules, unifying everything from documents to spatial visuals.
- Extended the identity into social media templates, branded caps, and promotional catalogs, so the brand keeps one consistent tone across cross-industry partnerships and marketing.

Outcome
Neuen now has a complete, reusable brand identity system, extending from the core logo standards into merchandise and marketing materials, letting the smart-home brand maintain a clear, consistent professional image across diverse channels and partnerships.
Questions people ask
about projects like this.
How do you design a tech brand identity that conveys both precision and warmth?
Howdy Creative works from the brand's core concept to find the right visual vocabulary, for instance using line work to symbolize signal flow, then balancing the technical feel with warmer color and layout choices to convey livability.
Does a brand really need a full VI guidelines manual?
It matters most for brands with many product lines or frequent cross-industry partnerships. A complete VI manual keeps the logo, color, and layout consistent across catalogs, social media, and merchandise, so the professional image holds up everywhere.
